Magic U13 & U15 Girls Travel Teams:
The Magic Travel Teams only participate in Fall Tournaments and the tryouts for the 2009 fall season are tentatively scheduled for Sat Sept 12th, 1230pm-3pm, and Wed Sept 16th, 530pm-730pm.
Please register for tryouts on this website, cost for tryout is only $10.
This is for the intermediate-to-advanced level players at U13
(96 & 97 birth years, 11 & 12 yr olds) & U15 (94, & 95 birth years, 13 & 14 yr olds) that want to showcase and test their talents at competitive tournaments on the East Coast. This travel team is open to players from Northern Virginia, Maryland, and DC!
**(At this time we cannot have any 9th graders that are still 14 yrs old participate on the U15 travel team due to tournament rules).
We will have our 2009 evaluation tryouts, Saturday, September 12th at Cooper MS from 1230pm-230pm, and also on Wednesday, September 16th, at Cooper MS from 530pm-730pm in McLean in order to form one team, and potentially a second team at each level if there is a sufficient demand. Cost of tryouts is $10 and includes both tryout sessions. Players are encouraged to attend both tryout sessions if possible so all coaches can evaluate. Please arrive early (30-45 minutes) to both tryout sessions to check in and warm up.
Notices of team placement will be posted on this website by Wednesday night, September 16th.

There will be one weeknight practice (6pm-8pm) on Wednesdays each week & Saturdays 1pm-3pm, at Cooper MS starting September 19th thru November 28th.
We will attend at least 2-3 tournaments in the fall (October through November) such as the Madeira/Great Falls (Oct 17th), George Mason (Sun, Nov.1st), Mid-Atlantic in Baltimore (Nov 14th & 15th) & Turkey Shoot in Annapolis (Fri, Nov.27th). Final Tournament selections will be announced at the tryouts. We will also play together in several scrimmages on Sundays in late October.
This is a great opportunity for local girls to further play together against other highly competitive girls' lax programs from the East Coast. Included in your Tournament Program registration fee of $350 - $495.00 is the 3-4 tournament dues, and all scrimmages fees (3-4).
Membership in US Lacrosse is required. Membership benefits in US Lacrosse include access to a variety of programs and services, Lacrosse Magazine, and comprehensive lacrosse insurance. To register for US Lacrosse, please go to uslacrosse.org.
Equipment needed – stick, goggles, mouthguard, & lacrosse/football cleats. Jerseys provided. Grades 5-8.
Cost Range: $350 - $495 plus weekend travel expenses (lodging, food & transportation).
